I was unaware, until his (ongoing) slimy, duplicitous turn at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings on Sonia Sotomayor’s nomination to the Supreme Court, of Senator Jeff Sessions’s full name.

It is Jefferson Beauregard “Jeff” Sessions III.

I’m curious, though, why the junior Republican senator from Alabama did not end up being Jefferson Beauregard “Beau” Sessions III.

Explanation of Posting Hiatus
